Why would you write a poem?
Some collection of words in rhyme.
Maybe to tell a story,
Or capture a moment in time?

Not that you don't have the words
Or the feelings to declare.
It's more about expression
To ensure they're finely shared.

Poets are writers of words
Lending voices to stories for all.
For there's power in the rhyme.
Keeping full the heart in all.
